It is? I think it is pretty evenly split, or perhaps 60/40, but no one near as liberal as say San Francsico or Santa Cruz.

do you live in SJ, or have you? it's liberal... they always go for the liberal candidate... the city council is mainly filled with liberal democrats... they just voted to acknowledge homosexual marriage... Representatives Zoe Lofgren and Mike Honda are liberal to the nth degree... the one recent Republican congressman--Tom Campbell--who gave up his seat to run for the Senate (and lost) was pretty much a RINO...

maybe the population doesn't contain as great a percentage of "extremists" that San Fran and Santa Cruz have; however, the politics are the same...

Well close by, in Mountain View. I agree the politicians that get elected are pretty liberal, but the races (from what I remember) are not usually landslides, as in SF or SC.

Maybe I am putting on my Conservative-colored glasses.
