Where the multiplier effect has it's most effective benefit is that by being taxed at every turn, when spent in the US, it keeps our taxes low(er). By getting taxed in foreign countries it keeps their taxes low.

We need the taxes to pay for the social programs that our legislatures have authorized for the illegals and lower income American citizens.

Did you notice how the State budgets jumped when inflation was at 1.5%, that was because of the influx of illegals.

Is it possible for you to differenciate between the concept of "Legal" and "illegal"?

Judging by all of your posts, you seem unable to grasp this simple idea.

You should change your last paragraph........to something closer to the truth.

Try this out for size "Only law abiding citizens will resent illegal trespassers for working at new jobs".

What's even funnier is that once you've recieved your last unemployment check, you simply vanish off of GWB's employment figure rolls.

....pretty cool, hugh?

To answer your post # 19, no.

Not if they are displacing American workers who are getting paid on the books. That is eroding our tax base, which puts undo burden on legit / legally operated small businesses as well as ALL taxpayers.

>>There is no contradiction in Hispanis gaining jobs and wages falling!!!! These people need to take Econ 101 and learn about basic supply and demand theory.<<

You are correct. Over the last two years the annual wages have dropped $1400 for the average American family in the past 12 months because there hasn't been the normal raises.

Everybody jumped when the state workers, in California I think, received their raises even though they were between 1.2 and 2.5 percent per annum. The private worker didn't get these raises.

Maybe it was the federal employees who got the raises last month, I'm not sure.

Only hard core racists will resent Hispanics for working at new jobs.

Not if our resentment is based on the fact that these Hispanics are illegal aliens. Then our resentment is based on people (regardless of their nationality) violating our immigration laws.

"Shouldn't that be up to the guy offering the job? What business is it of yours?"

I pay increased taxes because those who hire Illegaliens cheat the government out of their proportional share due with every Illegalien they hire. Therefore, it is my business.

Those hiring and aiding Illegaliens commit felonies - not unlike those who are guilty of insider trading, grand larceny, and other felonies. As a citizen of America, witnessing one committing such felonies REQUIRES one to report it to the proper authorities or become complicit in their crime(s). I will not knowingly become an accomplice for them to make their profit....

>>They shouldn't be getting welfare at all since they are not citizens.

Welfare and like programs should be restricited to citizens only.<<

I keep looking in the Constitution to see if I can find where foreign aid is authorized. Haven't found it yet.

...regarding your post # 55. Well, we DO have these silly things called "laws" here in the US, or are you another one like GWB who favors "selective law enforcement".

"What business is it of yours"?

Nice, let some scumbag employer get away with tax evasion. So all the rest of us legit business owners have to pick up the tax slack.

Well for that matter, you might want to see if you can find where welfare for anyone (legal or illegal) is in the Constitution. If I had my way, there would be no welfare.

"our resentment is based on the fact that these Hispanics are illegal aliens"

Then if Congress changes the law to make them legal you would have no resentment? Yeah, sure.

Oh - that's not the Welfare of which you're inquiring?

Not only do us legit business owners pick up the slack for taxes, but we LOSE business because "Joe" can undercut our prices due to the fact that he doesn't pay the illegals SSI,unemployment insurance, workmans comp.

Then amnesty should cure all of your complaints.

The amnesty you are proposing would reward somebody for violating our immigration laws. Bad concept. Would you teach a child that it is ok to violate the law and that the child might even be rewarded for doing so?

Proponents of restricting immigration said the findings suggest that a broader cross-section of U.S. employers has developed a preference for undocumented workers.

As some businessmen sign up ILLEGAL immigrant workers they wave American flags at our youth going off to war to fight to protect us, the businessmen, and the ILLEGALS. Just don't ask for a job when you get back from war, guys.

Yes, I know that immigrants serving in our armed forces is a proud tradition -- but in the old days you had to be legally here to serve. I suspect it's still the same.

I don't think redistribution of wealth is what the founding fathers had in mind when they wrote "general welfare".

An American employer who knowingly hires an illegal alien is in violation of federal immigration laws.

This is dusgusting! Any company found to be employing an illegal should be fined $100,000 for the first infraction $200,000 for the second, $300,000 for the third and so on.

Unfortunately, the reality is that every time the INS goes out and raids companies to catch them employing illegals, those companies go crying to their Congressmen and the INS gets pressured to back off.

Until we start going after the demand for illegal labor, we'll never be able to reduce the supply.
