I'd be cautious on that one. I don't necessarily agree. I think that those of us that are politically savvy, on both sides of the issue, know they're a sham (the libs know it, but they won't admit it)... There's a HUGE number of people who don't, and will be told time and again, that it's a bi-partisan commission, that it's headed by a Republican (Kean), and that it's totally impartial.

We know the truth... unfortunately, a huge number of people haven't been paying attention to anything more than these sound-bites, courtesy of CBS/MBC/ABC/CNN/NYTimes/WASHPost, etc. They could be devestating...

Think about the WMDs... There were programs found, small scale weapons, and the like, and the only thing that resonated among a great number of Americans is that there were no WMDs, and that President Bush lied or mislead.

It's not as bad as you think. The overwhelming majority of people who only half pay attention believe that ALL so-called comissions are nothing but a bunch of fatcats bloviating. Thet's all you ever see of it on TV. It's very difficult to actually watch one of these things because by the time you watch enough to know what they're talking about you're sound asleep. I know, that's what I thought of them when I was asleep (pre-911). And the remainder of the country wouldn't even know what we're talking about.
