But .. we're not "standing down". Not that I know of.
We already have an agreement from the PM and the Pres of Iraq to continue security for Iraq while their people are being trained to do the job.
Isn't most of that portion of the border empty of towns and people ..?? If so .. it would be fairly easy for us to demolish the Iranians in one day. Hmmmm? That might change the tone a little if we do.

Well... 'standing down', I mean that the profile of coalition forces would be diminished. 'Other' elements would be in place so that the capability to deliver continued force would remain. That's what I meant.
