I think this is just gonna tick people off. And the folks who do buy into it won't like being embarrassed by folks who know better and have to explain the facts of life to them.
I agree. Remember, propaganda works on the weak-minded. This reporter, while probably a liberal, had enough sense not to gush about the film.

Hollywood loved it because, at bottom, they are weak-minded. They are probably the most creative group of people on the planet, but politically, they haven't a clue.

Weak-minded people are easy to persuade. Hitler could win an election in Hollywood with the right advance man.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

There probably was a time when it was true that the Hollywood crowd was the most creative group of people out there, but that day is long past IMO. These days they do nothing but schlock and shock and big special effects. It seems anymore that they literally throw anything they can (extreme gore, sex, perversion, you name it) at the wall in the desperate hope that something will stick and turn into a hit. Almost completely forgotten any more it seems are such little things like plot, a compelling story line and good character development.

And once one studio does make something stick, out come the ten sequels and scores of cheesy ripoffs by other studios, milking that cow until it screams for mercy. Is this being creative?
