But there are socially-redeeming parts.
A few weeks ago, he had a screamer of a "guest" who was exposing the real truth:
Canada has simply been a protectorate of the USA since the end of WWII.
The "guest" spun such an incredible tale of conspiracy theory of how this had happened
(involving Dubya, Papa Bush, Churchill, the Saudis, etc.), I told a cousin
(former Canadian) that I bet some of this gets repeated as fact on Democratic Underground.com.

And some of this social commentary and sniping at The French are screamers as well.

I think the joke is ON the Jerry Springer crowd. How is it that every night people call in who haven't realized it is a gag? It is amazing. If you have two cells synapses firing you know it is a hilarious put-on. But even if you DIDN'T get it the first time you heard, you would know from then on. Apparently the callers NEVER get that they are the butt of the joke. ...Then again---could the callers actually be more of Hendrie's voices...?

Hendrie is truly talented. He is the latter day Bob & Ray. Either you get it or you don't. Not everything he does works but when it does he is very funny.
