Well unfortunately not everyone is as patriotic as you are. Also, remember there are people who are 'one issue' types and they don't necessarily have an opinion on other issues. Some religious people believe we are in the mess we are in because of things like abortion. I don't agree though.

I first heard that crap from Jerry Foulwell and Patsy Robertson when the two giddy jerks spewed it in the aftermath of 9-11, and I almost put a .45 round through the TV. Blaming the US for being attacked played straight into the hands of those who attacked it, and strengthened the hand of those within it who approved of those attacks.
If this nation doesn't "measure up" to those types, then in my book it's doing just fine.
This nation DID NOT cause its own barbarous attack. I don't care if it was a Right-winger, a Leftist, or the solid Pope who claims it. They are ALL wrong.
