I'm coming up on 14 or 15 years as a vegetarian myself; it's right for me but I will not preach to others either (much!). My hubby eats vegetarian at home, only because I do all the cooking, and he has no complaints.

I do eat fish sometimes. Salmon is good for your heart. For about a year when I changed my diet, I didn't even eat fish. Then I started eating some shark. I figured that he would eat me if given the chance, so screw 'em.
