Bush was a class act all the way.

Absolutely.

The article tries to portray conservatives as crude rubes.

I paraphrase, but she was over the top.

She's a marxist hater.

Please have the Admin Mod Change the Headline to IDIOTS "Irked over...."

Any so called conservative that has a problem with the Presidents performance, could take a lesson in Class, and Dignity from the man.

He was, Presidential.

"Why does that word Stategery always remind me of Saturday night Live? ;-)"

That was one of the best SNL skits of all time. I just loved Darryl Hammond's Gore "lockbox" speech. "That was an attack on my character. I'm going to put it in a tiny lockbox where all bad thoughts go." Brilliant!

Bush's speech is the most wonderful send-up and mockery.

Rope-A-Dope comes to mind....

I think you're right, but I still like the sound of it, just as I like how Dubya is constantly 'misunderestimated'. ;)

Your neighbors have just had a baby. They come out for a stroll with the baby in a buggy. The child is spectacularly unattractive. Do you say, "That's an ugly baby." Or do you say, "That's a beautiful baby"? I rest my case.

You don't say either one. You do what President Bush did. You talk about "what nice hands he has!" or "he looks so healthy and strong" or "isn't he sweet!" and don't mention his beauty or lack thereof.

The President's speech was notable for its omissions, not for what he actually said.

Of course, you could say what my Uncle Osgood always said when shown a baby: "Well! That IS a baby!"

True! I especially liked the commentary as to how much 42 loved being President. I laughed when I read about it.

Savage is not a conservative, he's reactionary. I think that Savage has given up on trying to attract conservatives and has moved on to the Buchanan Brigadiers.

I think SNL actor Will Ferrell (imitating Dubya) invented the word "Strategery", if I remember correctly.

Are you series? LOL.

Misunderestimation IS the strategery!

Bush Doctrine at work! LOL!

LOL!

Even an ugly baby has beautiful skin and some other charming feature.

Bush is able to laugh at himself and not take himself too seriously. I've heard aides say in interviews that he nicknamed a WH conference room the "strategery room" because they thought the word made up in the skit was funny.

Does anyone know if President Peanut received his portrait during Reagan's term? I am sure that he did. It'd be interesting to see how Reagan handled it. Although there is little comparison between Carter and Clinton, it is a very similar situation.

so this article comes from Newsmax.com (presumably the left column "news stories")) and is based on a quote from Michael Savage.....
why exactly should it be be taken seriously?
