SCOTT'S FISHY FURY
By HOWARD BREUER
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
June 15, 2004 -- REDWOOD CITY, Calif. Scott Peterson hotly cursed and threw a flashlight after police grilled him about his suspicious fishing trip the day his pregnant wife, Laci, disappeared, one officer testified yesterday.
"I asked him what he was fishing for," Modesto Detective Matthew Spurlock told rapt jurors during the start of the third week of Peterson's murder trial.
"He had this blank look for a second or so, his eyes shifted a bit. And he didn't really answer the question.
"I asked what he was using for bait, and I got the same kind of response . . . this blank shifting," Spurlock said. "He couldn't really answer. Then he said, 'a silver lure,' and he held his hands about 7 to 8 inches apart."
Spurlock said that when he then asked Peterson to leave the house, he watched as the fertilizer salesman cursed through gritted teeth and threw a flashlight to the ground.
"It sounded like 'f - - -,' like it was being said out of frustration," the cop said............

REDWOOD CITY -- The judge in Scott Peterson's double-murder trial refused to declare a mistrial Monday over surprise testimony about Peterson's use of an obscenity shortly after his pregnant wife disappeared.
Superior Court Judge Alfred Delucchi gently chastised prosecutor Rick Distaso for pulling a fast one, but concluded that it was not a gross violation of trial procedure.
Also Monday, Sharon Rocha cried as she looked away from a large screen showing remains of her daughter, Laci Peterson. Minutes later, pictures of her smiling daughter splashed on the screen and Rocha quietly got up and exited the courtroom.
And two Modesto police officers said Scott Peterson seemed caught off-guard when first asked about his solo fishing trip.
Sparks flew after lead defense attorney Mark Geragos asked Delucchi for a mistrial, in a motion that drew snickers from the audience.........

Thanks for that link.. Funny
About the rug, I would have asked details like what kind of rug rag, backed, or mat. I'd like to know why Evers thought it looked out of place to begin with. Also, I'd like to know when the dog and cat were in the house. I read Dog was in the yard with leash, then Dog was with Scott on a leash at the park (as per Sharon)while looking for Laci.
Oh, that was LAST month's explanation! Don'tcha know, the Geragos/Peterson team makes sure there's a fresh new explanation for everything, every month??
Good Morning all--
Anyone know who is testifying today??
Duhhh... I think it took me longest to get it.
Oh, well. I better say a French word (so I look even denser!) Touché!
He'd BETTER use her now! It's elementary that you DON'T promise anything in your opening statement that you know you can't deliver! The jurors will remember, and blame you for it.
Er... yes. RGSpincich cleared that one up for us.
You know, that makeover did a lot for Rodney...
That is exactly why he is NOW saying she was in the boat!
There you are! I was wondering where you were!
Yup--part chemical, part circumstantial.
Boy, SOMETHING better fit that description, or that columnist Liz Smith better change her name and address and go into the federal witness program, lol!
Of course...
Good Link! I found that link..and the other Websleuther's report..I have found some sites so much better than others.
I decided to catch up and read a lot of sites...So much disinformation out there. The talking heads do not know the facts many times...
I am one who will watch live or tape the testimony that is sometimes as interesting as watching grass grow in order to get real facts....or read the published transcripts...I have neither this time...
.I have patience with methodical presentations and expect the defense to cross examine endlessly until you forget what the testimony was about in the first place....
Trials are dull most of the time , with important details only put in perspective by closing arguments...Enough has been revealed that I have formed an opinion...only time will tell if the jurors agree. I think Scott is a murderer.
I'm trying to freep, but it's a zoo around here!
Good to see you!
ya mean Ms Piggy ? every time I see that face I think of her....just play a tape of MG on LKL saying he knows Snott did it (before they hired him) and that will shut her up FAST !!!! Snott, not showing any emotion (as if he is winning that battle) is completely oblivious to the fact that if he were innocent he would be in so much grief he would never be able to smile but there he sits with a smug look while Mummy and Daddy pay the money for this man MG to go into all kinds of hysterics and trip up our system of justice.
Thanks RG, I'm glad Sharon spoke up, and it's nice to see them still retain their grace and dignity...unlike Lee and Jackie.
For anyone who cares to read this drivel..At least Nancy is there to inject some sanity into the conversation...

Thanks,Jackie...Chuck did blow it over Scott going fishing for the "first time"..first time in his new boat,yes....
Nancy Grace: "and fishing right over where someone dumped his wife's body" she noted with sarcasm.
Yes, I'm getting that impression also. I can't understand why because he's a Prosecutor. Before he got in trouble with the San Franscisco DA's office he was much more Pro-Prosecution!!
