If it were possible, I'd be happy to refer the NY media to KCAL, Channel 9 here in Los Angeles for correct figures. My own two beady eyes watched during the 8:00 hour last night as crowds were shown walking around the library grounds and passing by the gravesite. As reporters do, the KCAL reporter asked a few people why they had come. They all had basically the same answer: Respect for RWR. Now maybe the NY media's excuse is the 3-hour time difference, so they didn't have a chance to get updated figures. [wink and grin...]

FYI, OldFriend, this is from a Yahoo News article from yesterday afternoon: "About 300 people were in line when the library opened, and 1,272 had passed by the burial spot in the first two hours." Here's the link to the story."
