Today on Imus, Howard Fineman confirmed that Ron Jrs' eulogy was indeed a swipe at Bush. Noted his personal relationship with Ron, that they both work for MSNBC and have had numerous conversations on his political leanings. Ron's a liberal "independent". Said that Ron cannot stand Bush.
Fineman waxed poetic over the intellect of Jr. and said it's likely that he will run for some political office in Washington state. Interesting how a Yale undergrad, Harvard MBA, fighter pilot, baseball team owner, two term governor, and POTUS is an dolt but a one term Yale dropout, second string ballet dancer, infrequent political pundit and Animal Planet host is an intellectual giant and a potential political rising star.

ditto, seeking attention in all the wrong places. She should be upholding her fathers legacy, not mocking it.

I wrote about it on an old thread early this morning..Fineman's statement that Ron shared many of the qualities of his father had me reaching for the Pepto Bismol.

Okay...on another post I said I'd be pestering the local bookstores about the release date of Patti's book just to counter the Clinton book craze. Now I'm not so sure I'll do that...OR buy her book. Better wait and see which Patti she decides to be, I guess.
Let's hope what she & Ron saw last week helps them finally get over what their father was not and appreciate all that he was.

"Patti is a misguided little girl."
Patti is a middle-aged, over-the-hill hippie still trying to look like she's 21.

The truth and facts are secondary to their established opinions. They are scum.

The other day Fineman was pontificating that even tho he didn't know President Reagan, knowing the son was to know the president.

I think you've just described one of the many reasons why Ronny hates GWB.
Two First Sons with two entirely different lives...or in Ron's case, failures.

Wussy Matthews and PMSNBC will hype Ron Jr's first appearance more than they hyped Richard Clark's interview. I wont watch but - you can bet your mortgage that Wussy will try his damndst to get Ron to deny that President Bush has any claim to Ronald Reagan's legacy and any other connection between the two.

I noted on another thread that you don't need a degree in psychology to figure this one out. Two Presidential sons...namesakes in fact. Last time I saw Ron Reagan, Jr. he was hosting the Westminster Dog Show. Last time I saw Bush he was giving the State of the Union Adress. Go figure it out.

And here's something else I speculate. In 1980 when Reagan took office how old was Ronald Reagan, Jr.? I'm sure there were times at various functions when the Reagan children and the Bush children were in attendance. And the Bush boys...handsome, athletic, MACHO...and then there was Ronald Reagan, Jr. A ballet dancer. How much you wanna bet the Bush boys got the attention from Ronald Reagan, Sr. I'd put on it.

Yep! Ronny was probably the odd-man out just in the political sense since GW was more interested in Ron's own fathers ideals, than he was. I see alot of resentment and perhaps jealousy.
