Just talked with my great kid again. She said not only state house is near City Center mall, but lots of financial and federal buildings. Some fed buildings ya can't even enter. Not only that on the east side of Columbus, Military institution that is the treasury for the dept. of defense. All military paychecks come from this institution. As they would say in the military...a target rich environment. Yes downtown Columbus, OH is a target rich environment. I have been afraid for Columbus terrorist attacks since way before 9-11 occurred.
A little background on Nuradin Abdi:
Seems he is a 6'6" 220 pound guy. Four traffic violations in the last four years. Three seperate addresses in the last four years. Nothing spectacular in the public realm until the terrorism charges.

I think attacking a center of growth would impact the population than a federal office building. Just my opinion.
If such an event occurred around Polaris, I think I would be one of the first to jump on housing prices as the mass exodus completed. I love Southern Delaware county. I guess I'm calous.

And more on him here:
Abdi's 17-year-old brother, Mohamed AbdiKarani, said his brother loved the freedom of the United States and never spoke out against the U.S. government. Abdi has a son and daughter and his wife is pregnant, his brother said.
"He really hated terrorists," AbdiKarani said. "He loved it here. He never had as much freedom. He said it's good to raise his kids here."

Just one of those nice sweet American-loving moderate Muslims that we're so convinced exist.
