Actually I wondered if the "advanced" sales were merely orders by retailers. Also if this is a world wide figure, that makes much more sense. How many people in France can actually read?

This is a bunch of crap. Like the Hillary book that is selling for $6.95 now or $10 for 2 for 1, bookstores are required to order so many books. This is all hype. One of our bookstores only sold one of Hillary's books out of three cartons of books they were required to take.
Was told publishers make deals and then the large chains require their stores to order the books.
Just wait for a few months or less and this book will also be heavily discounted to the almost giveaway department.

A source close to Nancy told LeBoutillier that Mrs. Reagan would have loved to have had the popular Democrat president eulogize her husbandWhy on earth would she have "loved" to have that self-promoting boob eulogize her beloved husband?!

...that self-promoting boob eulogize her beloved husband?!
Which was the very reason Nancy Reagan didn't allow it... And seeing the Klintoons sleeping during the funeral says it all...no class whatsoever...

Our bookstores in Norman that are affiliated with chains were required to order so many books of Hillary's and now Bill's. These are phoney figures -- bet they will be gifts at the convention meaning the people will have an extra fee added to their convention tab. :)

I think you are mistaken about Rush. I remember his books making #1 on the NYT Best Seller List.

As President, Ronald Reagan made it a policy always to wear a suit and tie in the Oval Office.
Before taking office in early 1981, Reagan told aides he was stunned to see photos of Jimmy Carter lounging in the Oval Office in blue jeans and no tie. The soon-to-be-inaugurated 40th president then vowed that "things are going to change."
....in contrast, Bubba couldn'e even keep his pants ON in the oval office!

Right, I know that. But the article said that she would have loved to have him speak...
I think she may have been saying that just to be "polite" while knowing all the while that there was absolutely no chance that they would have allowed Klintoon to speak...if ya get my drift...

LeBoutillier is not a credible source. He's always a sure thing for bashing Bush.

Didn't he have one of the more bizarre theories/stories about Chandra Levy -- something about Condit being tight with a group of bisexual Hatian bikers who kidnapped and killed her on his behalf?

...and Clintons publishers are racing to print a second impression.
Given that his first impression is so pathetic.

The Google search included all categories - for all time. Rush's books did make #1 on the NYTimes Best Seller list, but have hade no where near the overall sales of other publications. The 'little red book' from Mao had a lot of sales in the 60's & 70's. Other books in the top 10 were books like 'The World Almanac', Guiness Book of Records', and a Spelling book.
Just making the Top 10 for a couple of weeks/months doesn't start to compare to sales over a number of years.
