I want to know what it would take to secede from a state, or how to form our own county.
More specifically, the 10th amendment was invalidated by the 14th amendment.

Up to this point, the federal Congress had no legislative jurisdiction within the boundaries of a sovereign state except as described in Art I, Section 8, Cl 17 (the purchase of state land by the federal Congress with the state's permission) and Art VI, Section 2 (laws enacted to implement the terms of a treaty then become the law of the land).
Even Art I, Section 8, Cl 3 (the commerce clasue) had not been judicially "expanded" at the time immediately following the end of the war of northern aggression against the sounthern states (that happened in 1942)granting legislative jurisdiction to the federal congress within the boundaries of a sovereign state.

Sobran is covering old ground. I could swear that I've read this almost verbatim in the past. The answer to your question is: A state can't secede. Each state is now just a form of local government, right above counties and cities. After the Civil War, we became one union comprised of 50 weak governmental entities. And with the ever-more-rapid movement of Americans (I've been transfered to four different states), we are becoming blurred as a nation. Throw in jet travel, nationwide 24/7 media, immigration (legal and otherwise), and the idea of secession becomes moot. Right or wrong, Mr. Lincoln won his war, and changed us forever.
Get rid of all the regional governments, nongovernmental organizations taking money from the government, and the internationalists who've been elected to office and you will get your rights back without seceeding, I guarantee it.
Repeal a few really foul Executive Orders, like the EO on Environmental justice, and suddenly the sweet freedom of owning property without threat of lawsuit will be returned to Americans.
Deport the illegals, close the borders and assimilate the immigrants here so that they are educated in the history of the United States and are taught to value individual rights and freedoms. Unify our people, don't "diversify" them.
There is a list of things that can be done, its just that America has to stand up and do it.
