What's happenin'? I've got a ton to do tonight, so I'm going to keep it short.
I just finished cutting the new trailer, and will spend the rest of the night, focused on the demo for distributors. We have a solid skeleton, and now it's about putting my personality into it. So that's where we are. I'm absolutely blown away by how big this whole endeavor has become. We toiled away in anonymity for a year, and to suddenly have people paying attention is really strange.
So in a matter of a few short weeks, we've gone from being in a situation where I didn't know if I'd ever get the flick finished, to a situation where the film is fully funded, and where we will be announcing a distributor within a few short days. More on that later.
The most important part for me is that the film will be seen. I'm willing to deal with whether people love it or hate it, and whether it's a smash or a bomb, because I crafted it out of nothing. It's on my shoulders right now. The next few days are going to be the part of the ride where we crest and start screaming at 100MPH. It will be a blast, provided we can keep it on the rails. I'll keep you posted.
Take care,
Mike Wilson

I will agree with this. You were not so clear when you wrote the post that I replied to.
I don't think this film is a protest as much as it is a venue to unmask Moore.
I have no law background, but court precedent seems to argue that a person can say anything, as long as there is an opportunity to refute.
This is a rare situation, but it has come up in colleges and venues where no dissent against the spoken view is allowed.
I heard this principle explained in detail by some legal people and unfortunately I have no examples to give you. It is a bit out of my area, but it is real and the principle exists in law. Wish I could point you to it.
OOOOOH Phil! We needed a warning with that one.
He is good, heard him on the radio, worth seeing!
Be nice if you could get many different shots of Moore, refusing to be interviewed.
I'll be the first in line to see this when it is released...even if it means taking a day off of work.
I hope nothing bad has happened...there has been an announcement since the 15th to expect a theater list within the next day or so, but nothing has been added since.
BUMPING.
I haven't been to the movies since 1999.
I'm GOING to THIS one!
According to IMDB, it'll be out Aug 15th.
I just sent them an email asking for information. I'll post the reply whenever I get it.
OH, you KNOW I'm smilin' now because the Zotbait went after ME.
Losers all. They get even funnier after they lose in November.
