Count me as a supporter of Israel, but NOT a blind supporter. That should be recipricol. We provide them with $4 billion a year in direct aid, plus close to $10 billion in loan guarantees last year (very low interest)... We get a democratic ally in the mid-east, a counter-balance to the Arabs, who are worth little more to us than warm spit.
Opening the flood-gates for thousands of French Jews would circumvent the immigration process, and that's just WRONG. I think we should minimize the number of ALL immigrants entering the country, not minimize but increase for certain groups.

I'm also from NYC and agree with you. We are inundated with leftie Jews and many throwbacks from the old reds (very different from the Connecticut Jews who are staunce Americans). Then there are the Noam Chomsky's, who's site is devoured by the lefties - especially college students - and regurgated on forums all over the world - makes it all the more difficult to debate. I also support Israel - (not blindly either) not in the bibical sense - mainly because I don't want a Holocaust II.
Let's hope our speech is never gets stifled. BTW, I wonder where the post in question went to - it's not there anymore.
