Quite true....very few rugs from Islamic countries have any art that represents a life form. It's forbidden but a few Persian rug villages do it anyhow.
I went to HS with a girl whose family was Jewish and had fled Iraq in the 1950s. Boy oh boy did they have rugs! They had rugs on top of rugs.
I wish I still knew my friend today, I wonder what she would think of all that is going on in the world.
