I took out the domain name "TributeToRonaldReagan.com" today (it will take about 96 hours to propogate across the web). It is my permanent tribute to President Ronald Wilson Reagan...the greatest President in my life time, in the 20th centruy, and among the two top presidents of all time, second IMHO, only to George Washington.

Well...on Friday night late, the idea came to me and I started working...from then straight through Saturday late and early this morning.

Your hopes and prayers in that regard must have been heard because those were the exact feelings that I had!

No problem about the errors...I threw it together very fast and I am sure I will be weeding them out for some time.

I write the html in a straight text editor and do not use a spell checker there...my wife and others tell me to let MSWord or something convert it...but the code then ends up with way too much overhead.

Oh well...feel free to Fremail me any mistakes you find.

I know there is one freeper who is making a DVD of the entire thing...I would be shocked if a commercial one is not made too.

Either way...I intend to have several of them. Every American should get an opportunity to hear that moving, spiritual service. It is the absolute essences of what makes and keeps this nation strong.

I was fortunate enough to see President Reagan speak at an outdoors event in Great Valley, Pennsylvania in the mid '80s. Still have the invitation. I feel like framing it.

That is very true, a shame more of our presidents didn't share the same mindset as President Reagan.

Our King Josiah is now gone from our midst, but never far from our hearts. I just hope that more our leaders can draw from his example and lead the nation in the manner that would make our 40th President proud.

Amen..he was a modern Josiah..he came along just when we needed him. I am certain that his passing and the memories, feelings, patriotism and introspection it has evoked was also planned by a higher source for just when we needed it too.

He served us, our liberty and his Master even in his passing!

I think I figured out a unifying theme throughout the entire week of ceremony. The Chaplain said it at the internment ceremony: "Ronald Reagan loved hymns."

The Battle Hymn of the Republic was played at every ceremony. First, it was played as a dirge as his body was escorted down Constitution Avenue towards the Capitol. Then it was played in a more uplifting way at his service at the National Cathedral. Finally, it was played as an exhaltant (and exultant) march at his service Friday night.

Hymms (particularly the Battle Hymm of the Republic) and faith. Ronald reagan was a man of great faith and it motivated and inspired his life.

He didn't wear it on his sleeve...but it clearly drove him and he was not afraid to talk about it when necessary.

Faith in God, patriotism, freedom, the love of freedom, family, work, neighborhood -- the heart and soul of America's past and the promise of her future. If we stand together and live up to these principles, we will not fail.

I know here that you will agree with me that standing up for America also means standing up for the God who has so blessed our land. I believe this country hungers for a spiritual revival. I believe it longs to see traditional values reflected in public policy again. To those who cite the first amendment as reason for excluding God from more and more of our institutions and everyday life, may I just say: The first amendment of the Constitution was not written to protect the people of this country from religious values; it was written to protect religious values from government tyranny.
