Thank you for saying what I was thinking. When I heard Ron, Jr's remarks, I assumed he WAS referring to Clinton, his lip-biting, and his Bible-toting "pretend humility". It never crossed my mind that his remarks might be referring to President Bush.
I don't think Ron, Jr. and Patti have done a very good job of "honoring thy parents"...only time will tell, I suppose. Maybe they didn't get the attention they needed when they were young; however, they are now almost middle-aged people. There is apparently at least a little underlying animosity between them and Michael Reagan. I thought his comment about being the "chosen one", which he was by being adopted, was telling, in a subtle way. I think Michael Reagan IS a tribute to his adopted father, Ronald Reagan.
I hope Nancy Reagan's two children will show a little maturity and be both a support and blessing to her in the coming years...I suspect this loss is going to be harder than anyone can begin to imagine.
