Conservative? I hope so. He played one of the best Bond villains in the otherwise-execrable "View to a Kill"-- a wonderfully campy performance, almost enough to offset the annoying Roger Moore. Well, Walken and Grace Jones...

Christopher Walken:Ya' know, the problem is...this is a fiiine profile, but...there's something dat's missing. IT NEEDS MORE COWBELL! I mean folks, ehhh, it's just...THERE'S NOT ENOUGH COWBELL! Not enough for my personal satisfaction. I mean, you can't have an article about me...without THE COWBELL! Ima song n' dance man Charlie, and I just can't get my jones from a piece that doesn't have some COWBELL! I'm achin' for some cow bell Billie, and this just ain't cuttin' it.

Walken is one of my favorite SNL hosts. He can be scary or funny. I hope he is a political conservative but until I hear it from him I'll have to doubt it.

Easy, guys..I put my pants on just like the rest of you - one leg at a time. Except, once my pants are on, I make gold records. Now let's take it from the top.

I'd think twice before accepting a gift wristwatch from the guy.

Walken freaks me out. I admire him for that alone.

THAT'S THE ONE!
I knew I was missing something from that "Blue Oyster Cult" sketch.
I'm kind of blankin' on "the colonial" though. Was that the bit where he played an incredibly inept Don Juan? 'Cause if it is, that skit kicked ass something fierce!

It was "The Continental," not "The Colonial."

Eric Bloom [of Blue Oyster Cult] still laughs over that sketch, to this day.

Okay, now I'm even more confused.
Was that "Pulp Fiction", "The Deer Hunter", or was he in "Barry Lydon" and I just don't remember him?
I need to brush up on my Walken.
Walken:
You're daaamn right you need to brush up on me! I'm not some two-bit nickle and dimer like that putz Dustin Hoffman! Show some respect pally-boy!

At first I thought the same thing I always think about remakes, "another remake? Are the people in Hollywood so burned out on drugs that they can't come up with an original idea?" But then I saw Walken was in this one so I thought "I'm there".
But then I saw Bette Midler ( who's also in this movie ) on Conan the other night. She said " I want a President this year who's elected, Not assigned". She said some other anti President Bush stuff so screw her, I'm not going to see the movie.
