Me too.

I haven't posted on any of the Reagan threads but I'm compelled to say that that man gave this Freeper born in 1968 who had seen nothing in her young life besides Watergate, Viet Nam, and and the Iranian Hostage crisis HOPE that this country was as great as I had been taught in school and suspected in my heart but had yet to see.

He was my hero.

These are the first tears I've shed, I've been working too hard to take time to mourn, so thanks for posting these.

Mr. President, I'll never forget you. *salute*

Oh, if you'd seen Nancy at his coffin at the end of the funeral in Simi Valley, it would have ripped your heart out. Prior to that, I'd mostly just sniffled.

What you said applies exactly to me too as I was also born in 1968. I knew he'd made me proud to be an American, but I hadn't put it together with what I had seen of America up to that point. You summed it up nicely, thank you.
