I agree and that's what it will come to. However, I'm pretty sure the builder had this happen when the lake was first created and they "fixed" it. Just wondering if the people who bought there were aware of the problems.
I knew something smelled fishy there. Now real estate fraud has been exposed. Beware Lake of the Ozarks! The Draino plunge could be heading your way!
All these "gated communities" with their muddy ponds they call "lakes" - the developers get the land cheap!
Ever wonder WHY that land was so cheap?
1. It is in the major fault zone
2. It is in the tornado alley
3. it is in the flood zone
4. it is in the normal storm path
Something I learned long, long ago. NEVER buy one of those rip-off houses unless you don't mind having it and your possessions destroyed eventually.
The "old timers" never built in those areas for a reason!
There's not much choice, as most of Missouri is a limestone bed. There are over 5000 known caves in the state, and everybody lives near at least a few. In many areas in Missouri, it takes a pretty careful site survey to make sure a house can be built safely, not to mention an artificial lake.
