Marcellus, out of Syracuse, New York, is no longer in business, but I suspect the Reagan's both bought these caskets years ago, and they were set aside.

I worked for a funeral home in Fort Worth that offered these beautiful hardwoods, and I recognize a Marcellus immediately.

Nobody else built a casket with those crowns at the end, and the flat top.

All hand done.

It really was beautiful. I've never seen that much ornamentation on a casket before--so I do appreciate the history. Most of the ones I've seen had a shiny finish.
