The Christian themes are soul-moving.

God must have moved the pen of the writers.

And to think what is passing for music these days, makes you realize how much more intelligent the generations that preceeded us were. We are witnessing before our eyes what happens when a nation turns against God and when others insist the rest of us do so likewise.

There's a lot of good contempo Christian music too; I wouldn't want hymns all the time. But the hymns certainly have their place. And mainstream contemporary music is degrading.

Some hate-filled leftist called C-SCAM this morning complaining bitterly about the pomp and ceremony, and went on about how DARE a US military band play "God Bless America". Expect the ACLU fo file a suit next week against the U.S. military for playing blatantly Christian hymns.

I dunno... yeah there is a lot of fluff music and fluff Christian literature being written, but these things are cyclical, just like Israel falling away, repenting and turning to God, and falling away again, over and over. There is some good stuff from the faithful remnant if you look for it. There always is. And if there isn't, or you can't find it, well then, "My Grace is Sufficient for Thee."
