Here in Ohio the day has been gray with a misty rain for the better part of the day. The sun has broken through now. Prayers for the Reagan family as they lay husband and father to rest.

I've been watching MSNBC, for many of their segments they have played as background music, Mansions of the Lord.

Everytime I hear it I break down and cry.

Just heard Howard Fineman telling Chris Matthews that Reagan was the first Westerner that was elected President.

Have to tell Fineman ,that is, strictly speaking, not true. Richard Nixon was the first Westerner & Californian to be elected President. Nixon was born and raised in Yorba linda, Cal., was first elected to Congress from there and was also a U.S. Senator from California.

He was at the time of his election as President a resident of New York City but was certainly a Californian through and through.

What a wonderful service, the whole thing was just perfectly done from the touchdown to the final respects. I for one am willing to give Ron a pass on his dig, he could have done much worse and I think we should be bigger than to try to fend off cheap political jabs that happen to be totally dishonest to boot.

I think that we know that there is a huge respect from Nancy to President George W. Bush, and I for one don't think that 43 has done a single thing because of a mandate from God. That jab is like saying he's a liar. Neither one will stick.

I suggest that we do as Ronnie would do and let this one pass, the young man just lost his father, there is still time for him to see the truth.
