Former Coast Guard chief petty officer Graham Washington Jackson as a recruiter in Marietta, Georgia would play piano & accordion for FDR while he was visiting Warm Springs, Georgia; a famous picture of him playing his accordion after FDR's death was published in the April 17, 1945 edition of Life Magazine; Jackson played Goin' Home
It was a wonderful week. We are fortunate that RWR was in this place at this time to do the job he bas born to do.
They were just as sad and solemn, if not more, at the Capitol Building when they paid their respects there.
Ellen 'ranting' Ratner was on Fox and Friends this morning. She was, surprisingly, somewhat respectful. She did say that she was disappointed that, during the ceremonies, 'the Democrat perspective wasn't given.'
lol.
Although she did also mention she thought President Bush (I'm not sure she was that respectful) did well.
Also, people shouldn't put much into whether someone sings etc. or not. Everyone handles grief in their own way.
I don't know if it has been mentioned, but Scott Baio was at the interment service. I don't know his connection to the Reagan family, but he looked very respectful and saddened when he passed by the coffin.
He always seemed like a good egg, so it's good to see that he is.
Perhaps he didn't trust his voice to sing without crying or cracking?
Heartbreaking.
No doubt the Klinton's are thrilled that ketchup boy is out of the running.
Conradicted Buchanan bashing the Reagan's?????
Truly amazing.
Hi, I went to bed before you posted! Sorry!
Exactly right.
I'm surprised to hear he was with any wife; there's something, at least, I'm honestly glad to have mis-heard.
Dan
Yess, much of contempo is bad. I have one local station that is good, and I find good stuff on albums also.
I did not hear that please explain, was it the religion part?
Same here, when I saw Nacy cling to the coffin I had such a lump in my throat I thought I was going to choke. At that point I went to bed.
No I would have drooled automatically if it was.

I saw that.
