That first shot in the 21-gun salute really startled the minister!

No, it was about Bush.
I hear the same leftist tripe almost every day of the week.
It stiffened my back for a bit, but I'll let it go.

"Me neither. But, some folks are looking at anything to jump ugly on."
No I wasn't and it wasn't the "mandate" comment that made me mad. It was the crack about some people needing to wear their religon on their sleeve. (paraphrase) that irked me.
VERY inappropriate during a eulogy.

Yikes--the minister about jumped out of his robes at the first shot! As close as they are, I can just imagine how loud it is.
Did John Scary attend the funeral today, and did he *wipes tears* bite his lower lip?
Seriously, I'm taping it. Did Mr. Ed trot in?

heard today the 21 gun salute was from a time when enemy was made to empty cannons at the order of the victor in battle.
Today Ronald W. Reagan is the indiputable victor of the Reagan Revolution.

Amen. What's done is done. It will be handled as a private family matter, I believe. Let's leave it alone and honor a great man.

"I presume he's raking over the coals those who are pharisaical in their observance. George W. Bush is not that."
Dubya may not be, but the Democrats and media certainly are doing their best to portray him in that vein.
Reactive impressions of Ronnie Jr.'s curiously emphatic statement were ambiguous at best, and a jab a Dubya -- as many Freepers stated -- at worst.

The gun scared me,,I thought it was an attack for a minute. Nancy needs a long hot bath and a stiff drink. She must be exhausted.
