more like "live to see tomorrow".
indeed. that's one thing about these "radical clerics" - they preach jihad, death, martyrdom - but sure as sh*t, these guys want to remain alive themselves.
Didn't they already head this off by declaring him ineligible to run for any office for 3 years?
Recently deceased jihadist: Where are my 72 virgins?
Lucifer: No, not 72 virgins. 72 sturgeons.
I thought there is an arrest warrant out for him?
Maybe, but will it hold after the turnover? Just because Bremer said so is a virtual guarantee that that rule won't be applied.
Was that the new govt or Bremer.
As I said, perhaps Allawi and the other SHiites will do him in before the elections.
Come with me if you want to live.
It is not Dubya he's worried about. If I'm not mistaken, he's under indictment by Iraq for the murder of a rival Imam last year. He may be worried about IRAQI justice, not American.
There is the end game.
We have depleted his forces...and now he is left to the mercy of his fellow Iraqis(followers of the other mullahs he killed)....he has only one choice left.....turn himself in.....or die.
.....yep.....
.....panties on his head.....
.....doesn't worry him.....
.....loosing his head.....
.....does.....
He knows that the new interim Iraqi government won't tolerate his activities. He needs to save face--and his skin.
Actually, they are promised 72 sturgeons.
I'm trying to picture this. I guess a larger missile would have a range of about 10 feet, while a smaller one could go 25feet?
"Actually, they are promised 72 sturgeons."
Wow, you can get a lot of caviar out of 72 sturgeons!
Yeah, that's the ticket - kill a kafir and you get to eat a mountain of caviar and wash it down with wine!
I'm all for a new start. Let's start with putting a bullet in al Sadr's head.
I must say, if this handover comes off well, Bush will be in an enviable position.
"There is the end game."
Looks like it. That end of the "uprising" still smoulders and can still burn some, but it looks like it will get snuffed out. Sadr himself has been in a jam for some time now and it has been tempting for those of us who are outside observers to call for quick solutions. It looks like the slower, less dramatic method is having the desired effect. My hunch (that's all it is) is that Sadr will find a way to survive for a short time. His days are severely limited.
Let us never forget he has American blood on his hands, a lot of it.
Indeed. I think we'll be watching it carefully, and there will be reminders of that to the new government.
That must have been a very brutal fight! LOL!!
