No one would do that, would they?
Palestine Report has ax to grind w/ FR Website
Our Axe to Grind
As a political publication coming from a Palestinian perspective, we have a few axes to grind -- a few political fights to pick. Once a month, we will post on this page the website that makes us hopping mad. And of course, we will take the opportunity to explain why....
Our editors welcome all comments at palreport@jmcc.org.
July's Axe
This month's axe, www.freerepublic.com, was recommended by a reader who says he was angered by the anti-Palestinian, anti-Muslim posts he saw frequently appearing on the site. After frequent objections, he himself was banned from it.
The US-based Free Republic describes itself as a gathering place for independent grassroots conservatism on the web. It appears to be well-traveled with recent posts on the Middle East and long running conservative commentary. Much of that commentary is not only pro-Israel, but actually hateful, some of it promoting the transfer of Palestinians.
For example, one writer argued of Palestinians: "Then the Jews have every right to exterminate them, to prevent them from rising up. Don't they?" This doesn't seem to have bothered the site operators, despite that those who post from the site are supposed to refrain from racist, hateful language or prohibited from posting.
A look at a posting on homosexuality in the Muslim world got this response: "Islam should be a religion very tolerant of homosexuality. After all, Mohammed commands everyone to get down on their knees and stick their bottoms in the air several times a day." Anyone who doubts that the site's rules against hate language only apply to certain special cases can read more at http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a3b3243b23744.htm.
Conservatives, liberals - all people for a wider frame of mind - please register and post at the site.
...........
Credit to busybody for the original post and xm177e2 for the comment that got their attention.
i couldnt answer that. i can tell you that they are not represented in the media, so go unheard most of time. hopefully to busy praying, and doing good deeds, feeding needy people, and such.
How about a ballpark percentage? Surely you can tell me whether it's above or below 50%?
Ah this is more like it, now we're hateful and live in trailor parks. Keep it up.You're on a roll.
Actually, there were a number of them.
Many of them were wiped out shortly after the Shadow War.
thats for GOD to decide.
Since He has yet to post on this thread, I'll have to decide for myself. Judging by their actions, the number of muslims who believe as you seems to consist of Abdul Palazzi, Khalid Mohammad, Stephan Schwartz (a convert to Sufi), and you. Heaven will be very sparsely populated, but at least you'll be able to get a Bridge game together.
ignorance begets ignorance, no one is exempt from that. no matter the race, creed, or religion.
Don't forget SEX, or national origion.
Do you work for the Post office?
But ignorance doesn't necessarily emanate from trailer parks. Oh well, from a dude that doesn't live in a trailer.
Ignorance or faith?
It is an act of mercy to white people that we end your world... We must end your world and bring in a new world
We are at war and we never stop fighting for justice. You must have force... don't drop your gun and don't forget to squeeze.
Weather you want it or not.
How is this different from Christians who say "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow"?
Athena protect us, guide our hand on the throttle
of rightous indignation and our eye on the sight
of the holy hand grenate of Antioch.
May St.Barbara succor us and provide 24/7 interdiction
fires in all weather.
Amen.
Mohammed was an Arab, and the Koran should be studied in its original Arabic--or so the mullahs say. Mecca and Medina are in Arabia.
You're not, they are impostors. I am the official spell checker around here and today I am letting you slid.....
Agreed.
yes he has many names,
If you believe this, you don't believe He is real.
I'm not talking about translations of His name, here, I'm talking about the different characters the different gods are said to possess.
The name is more than just a moniker to allow us to call Him something, it is a reflection of who He is. That is why the Jews hold it sacred.
Shalom.
OMG, I hope they got them someplace safe, where they can be together.
