"You must remember that nader had in his platform for 2000, a plan in which he would downsize our military. He wanted to reshape it into a small force to protect the "Homeland" only. We did not need a large Navy or Airforce, as we had won the "Cold War", and the world had changed. We NO LONGER had an enemy that required us to maintain such a huge military."

On this subject, the Nadar platform is essentially the same as the Libertarian Platform. You know the Libertarians who are always tell us that they are the "real conservatives".

The political landscape sure is a mottled mess these days. I'm stuck voting for the viewpoint that's the least wrong. Seems everybody is partially right about something. (With the notable exception of the Democrats...)

Why can't we have a Reagan/Goldwater ticket? Man, I could sure get excited about that....

On this subject, the Nadar platform is essentially the same as the Libertarian Platform. You know the Libertarians who are always tell us that they are the "real conservatives". The reason the lines are so blurred is because largely, people are ingnorant about what a particular party or candidate really stands for. So you have some conservatives joining the Libertarian Party because they are under the (false) impression that the Libertarian Party is the "Truly Conservative" one, and likewise all over the political spectrum.
