She was out of a job in the late 70s, and with only a high school education, there wasn't much around for her. As a single mom of three, it was impossible to thrive. But in 1981, she got a job at a manufacturing company and remained there for 15 years until she retired. Who made those manufacturing jobs possible? It wasn't Jimmy Carter...
