It's an Episcopal chruch..and communion is normal at a funeral service...

It will be interesting to see if Kerry is there and if he takes communion from an Episcopal priest. HINT: He can't but he's done it before.

The late president was Presbyterian and they do not do that at funerals. I'm guessing that one reason is that Presbyterians begin communion with an admonition that anyone not in communion with the Lord and his fellow man should not partake. Too many people at a funeral would not be believers and the situation would be awkward.
