President Ford trails off and his mind wanders a bit, and even when he's focused his speech is a bit halting. Betty will just interrupt him and speak for him in mid-sentence. It made me chuckle at the time, but it's touching overall.

And we aren't in the streets causing riots and exploding bombs and shooting children...

I think this funeral contrasted against the way the arab world has their "in the street funeral processions" really, really, demonstrates the significant differences in our cultures. SO true. And if the majority of people in the crowds were libs we'd probably see the same kind of chaos and silly behavior.

Hope we've all noticed that FR has been remarkably troubel free all this week...happily..there have been some notable examples of unfortunately timed "down time" in the past..

Rummy is there. Fox showed him briefly.
My guess would be either Hastert or Stevens isn't there, along with John Snow (Treasury).

Did you notice, no one was conversing with the klintoons? Not even the Carters.
Just the two of them were chatting with each other. (Probably the first time in 4 yrs.)
