Thank you Tom. I'll make it and will be glued to my television by 11:30 EDT with a box of Kleenex at my side.

Just on CSPAN a moment ago:
CSPAN (dem/dim) caller: We need to put FDR on Mount Rushmore.
Grover Norquist: Uh, he IS there!
Caller continues to accuse Norquist and conservatives of revisionist history.

Another Dem. talking point I've heard callers state the past 2 days on C-Span is that Reagan is personally responsible for the introduction of crack cocaine into the black community.

I wasn't the last person in line but I was close to it.
When I woke up around 5AM local WRC4 was saying that if you are not in line at this moment you probably would not make it into the Rotunda.
A quick brush of my teeth and I was on my way up I95 from Prince William County. Found a parking place on the north side of the Mall and got in line at about 6:10. The Capitol Hill Police were great and I was able to pay my respects at 7:40.
I believe there were about 2-300 people make it in after I did.

You too? I was doing OK until my random mp3 playlist queued up a song by Mary Chapin Carpenter, 10000 miles. You might remember it from the movie "fly Away home". Oh my, the emotions while that plays and I see images of the President and read his words! If anyone gets a chance, go to Itunes and spend a buck on it. It's just so appropriate. Here are the lyrics:
10,000 Miles (Traditional)
Fare thee well
My own true love
Farewell for a while
Im going away
But Ill be back
Though I go 10,000 miles
10,000 miles
My own true love
10,000 miles or more
The rocks may melt
And the seas may burn
If I should not return
Oh dont you see
That lonesome dove
Sitting on an ivy tree
Shes weeping for
Her own true love
As I shall weep for mine
Oh come ye back
My own true love
And stay a while with me
If I had a friend
All on this earth
Youve been a friend to me

CSPAN says the weather will be overcast and much cooler (around 75). That should help increase the crowd numbers.

Whine, whine, blah, blah. Do they EVER stop the bitching, threatening, and whining?? O.K. let's appease the babies. Put President Reagan AND Sen. Daschle on MT. Rushmore.
"Quick, Harriet, hand me the binoculars. Looks like some twisted freak put a booger under Jefferson's nose. Oh...wait...that's Daschle's head..."
To: TomGuy
Departure ceremony from the Rotunda. Reagan's casket transported to the National Cathedral. By caisson or hearse?
To: mystery-ak
Was it Alec Baldwin who called in?
To: MEG33
I can't remember which network...and I know I'm not making this up....but honestly, I think I heard one of the talking heads say the three living Reagan children will eulogize their Father at the Sunset Service this evening.

You're correct.
Mount Rushmore: Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt.
To: mystery-ak
Brian Lamb suggested to a caller complaining about the coverage and "Republican operatives. He said this week was Reagan's ceremonies and if it upset her so she might try turning it off...!

I hope by hearse. I could not bare the caisson again. That was just the most incredible procession I have ever seen in my life.
I think tonights sunset service will have a similar effect on me. Going to be a long sad day : ( I already teared up listening to the 21 gun salute practice for tonight at the library on the radio no less...YIKES.
