I think you might consider this from another perspective. Consider this is a very Christian service. God's word will be proclaimed. Exaulted.
Instead of focusing on the motive for this individual's inclusion, understand if in attendance God's Word will be heard. God's affect on Ronald Reagan's life will be cemented in our memories. The Lord's role in our country will again be shouted to millions across the world.
God may have a purpose we cannot know in this individual's life.
