Events such as these are always ecumenical with representatives of all the local major religions. Why are there priests and a rabbi? Would you exclude them too? Ronald Reagan was President to us all, regardless of our religion. We are at war with terrorism, not Islam. It is unfortunate that it seems hard to differentiate the two at times, but be assured, they are different.
Prager did a whole show about this today and I thought he made some good points. He loves President Bush but he was saying how Reagan was such a great president because he defined the problem of the time--communism. One point Prager made was that there is terrorism all around the globe and not all of it threatens us. The threat comes from fanatical Islamists--not all of Islam but Islamic adherents nonetheless. He said until President Bush stops using the generic "terrorism" it's going to make it harder to fight--something I hadn't considered until he mentioned it. Hope he writes a column about it.
