I agree. I see it all the time, on the news, here on FR, and it irks me just a little bit.

I see no reason to keep referring to Michael as the adopted son. He is Reagan's son, pure and simple. Making the distinction repeatedly only serves to set him apart from the rest of the family: Oh, he's the adopted son... As if there's some sort of stigma attached to it.

I agree with you. The interesting thing, the 2 kids Reagan had with Jane Wyman. They were the biggest Ronald Reagan supporters.
The 2 Kids Reagan and Nancy had, they sound like Jimmy Carter.
