Mock Disaster Drills Staged At Ellis Island
(New York-WABC, June 14, 2004) — Ellis Island was the sight of mock disaster drills today, as national park officials prepare for the re-opening of the Statue Of Liberty.
The Department of Homeland Security and the National Park Servce joined forces today and provided disaster training to fifty employees of the park service.
The employees learned fire extinction, first aid and victim rescue techniques.
