I think smoothing the flag was what Nancy did,,a loving gesture, like smoothing the bed covers of a sick person. It touches me no end. Pres Bush knows this is not "all about him",,he paid respects, respected those in line and went to see Nancy,,a real class man who knows how to behave. Laura did look very very sad.

The way he smoothed it so fast kind of bothered me. And then they high tailed it out of there. Quickly. I can see now that he probably didn't want to start sobbing in front of the world.
