I bet it was as part of a request by soldiers to let more soldiers have a chance to stand guard.

It is worth noting that soldiers now and during Reagan did not have to be ordered to show respect as they had under x42 and x39.

I remember when the orders came down for both of them. None of their advisors realized that the military didn't need to be ordered to show respect for the Commander in Chief.

But, I do believe they can't order us to show love. LOL That's something that both President Reagan and President Bush earned.
