If this report is true, the reason Syrians were in N. Korea seems to be about getting bio/chem warheads, not powerful rocket propellants nor special cehmicals for really powerful explosives.

However, this new report does not clarify whether this was just an accident or the assassination attempt or the sabotage of missile cargos.

I guess that neither assassination theory nor the sabotage could be ruled out at this time.

It couldn't have happened to a nicer group of people.

You have to wonder if the CIA maybe had a hand in the explosion.

VERY Interesting!

To me it rules out the assassination attempt. But, it rules "in" the possiblity that Iran knew (knows) what happened.
Iran and Syria are very close, and cooperating on weapons projects with N. Korea.
Sounds like an accident of some sort, though.

It was never covered in (major) domestic media, though.

Well, we were distracted by the earth-shaking news that a few guys in Iraq were forced to wear womens underwear on their head for a couple hours one day a year ago. We have no time for this silly business about the North Koreans trading WMD to Syria.

Was this train headed into N. Korea or out?

With all our carrier groups going to sea I believe there is much going on behind the scenes.Debka reported that the US gave Syria a very stern warning this week, not reported in the MSM. GPS systems on our east coast will not be working next week. Multi national troops will be training in NC next week. Many signs pointing to something big about to happen. And let's not forget pulling our troops off the DMZ,being replaced by ROK's.

that would give us reason to cheer for a change. when the people talk about our intellegence agencies, too much happens in secret for the unwashed (that's me)to KNOW the truth to be certain they are effective.

Which explains why the craven dems are no longer screaming that we ought to have gone to war with North Korea.

They know the situation there is becoming dire and will need action.

Pray for our military and our president.

I doubt very serously that these missiles were actually going to a end-customer in Syria. The real customer would likely have been Iran, and these missiles would have flipped through various ports before arriving in Tehran. Syria doesn't have a need for items like this and would be wasting their money. This was a money-laundering deal where the Syrians would be the middle-men.

Well, it could have been a joint venture by Syria and Iran. The main load of missile go to Iran, and another batch for Syria. The two nations don't have much to dispute about, except their influence over terrorist movements in Lebanon and elsewhere.

Of course we'll proably never know, but I hope the CIA had a hand in this "accident".

IF they did: BRAVO ZULU! Keep up the good work!

What I wonder about is how they were going to make the trip from NK to Syria. Presumably via ship, but possibly by air? I hope to god we're watching every freaking thing that makes the trip from NK to Syria or from Syria to NK.
