Joe Lieberman Went "Overboard" In Praise For Reagan
Self | June 9, 2004 | PJ-Comix

Posted on 06/09/2004 6:38:02 PM PDT by PJ-Comix

Anybody else just now hear Joe Lieberman giving EFFUSIVE praise to Ronald Reagan? I put "overboard" in quotes because from the Democrat's point of view, Lieberman went way too far in his praise of Reagan. Usually the Democrats just say Reagan was a good communicator but Lieberman gave Reagan high marks for standing up for what he believed in. Also gave credit for ending the Cold War. This type of praise is taboo among the liberals.

I suspect Joe Lieberman will catch a lot of flak from fellow Democrats for his praise. I also think that Lieberman will find himself completely isolated in the Democrat Party as they get ever more LOONEY.

Lieberman is setting himself up to be the Democrat version of McPain, in the event of a Kerry victory...

He's knows we'll do the same for him when he passes.
Was he in Congress when Reagan was President?

Slightly off topic, but during VP Cheney's euology the camera panned around the room, and there was that pig Levin sitting on his arse while everyone else was standing. Did anyone else see it or do I have an overactive imagination?

I don't know why you would label Lieberman liberal. Frankly, when he ran against Lowell Weicker he was considerably less liberal than Weicker. He is also much less liberal than any of the Democrats who also ran for President the past year.

I'd sooner trust Lieberman than McCain.

I heard Joe giving some pretty high praise for our GASP "success" in Iraq the other day.

Joe is only a step accross the aisle from being republican.

Senator Lieberman is a classical liberal, not a whatever has taken hold of the democrat party.

He had a good chance at the presidency, however, his Jewish faith would be like waving a red flag at the Islamofascists and the rest of the anti-Semites in the world who believe the Jews are responsible for everything from financial markets and war to global warming/cooling, bad movies and rain on a picnic.

Sort of like Bush! ( -;

I think that Lieberman had a bad taste in his mouth after allowing himself to be abused by algore. He seems like he has had it with being smacked around. Joe is standing up for what he believes is right and screw the party masters.

Lieberman is a Trojan horse. He's always at pains to show what a moderate and conciliatory voice he is but his smell test score tells a tale on him... His ACU score for last year is 0. That's right -- zero! His lifetime score is 19. Just like during impeachment, he talks one way and votes another.

Me too. They both straddle the line IMO, but I prefer Lieberman to RINO McCain. At least Lieberman admits he's a democrat.

Levin was definitely seated - I thought in a wheelchair. (does my overactive imagination trump yours?)

Give Dennis Miller a try. It's much better than that food fight on H & C.

I guess I give him credit because he at least is capable of squeaking out positive coments for Repubs - even if it is insincere and for political gain. Kennedy, Pelosi, et al wouldn't say a nice word for Bush or Reagan if they knew they be immediatly shot dead unless they did. Their hate is so deep they're allowing it to become self-destructive.

I think that Lieberman is living in the delusion that he can somehow get the Democrats back to the days of Scoop Jackson and Hubert Humphrey. Sorry, Joe, but the Democrats are too far gone. It has been taken over by far left wackos like Nancy Pelosi or slimy corrupt lounge-lizard types like Terry McAwful. Maybe you should caucus with Evan Bayh and both Nelsons and come over to the DARK SIDE.

"Senator Lieberman is a classical liberal..."

Joe Lieberman is no classical liberal.

He's a socialist.
