really?, we were just discussing it at work, I remember the Nixon funeral. I also realize his tenure was a bit tarnished etc..I also realize that people really connected with Regan more. So does the presidents family have the most say so in what kind of procession takes place? Di Nixon lie in state at the capitol as well?

Nixon's funeral was held in California.

That's just what I've heard in the last couple of days. I'm sure others here know more. I think the family has the final say.

Rush talked with a man who had been standing in line at the Capitol since 3:00 a.m. Guy said the press was interviewing everyone in the line and asking why they were there.

The press wasn't getting the answers they wanted and the last question they asked everyone was "how did you feel about Iran-Contra".

Rush said it's like an obituary of FDR and highlighting the fact that he imprisoned the Japanese during WWII.

Yes. President Reagan's plans have been set for years with annual updating on any fine details that needed tweaking.
