...my mother had Alzheimer's and it's really hard to watch your loved one slip away like thatThanks for your comments. My mother has Alzheimer's, too. I feel a lot of empathy for Nancy, as I'm sure you do.

"I sensed that the posters wanted to get in the faces of non-Christians."That is absolute BS, and you know it.

Mathews et al belong to the tie-died bunch. The crowd's reverence, the traditions, the ceremonial pageantry bring back the greatness of other times before their rebellious chaos. I loved every minute of the sheer BEAUTY of this tribute to our former President.
In death President Reagon still serves as a teaching example, a seed planted within young hearts that THIS is the way our nation honors our great men...today, THIS great man. And THIS is but a peek of what real values are. History brought to life before their eyes, a light for them to follow.

Thanks.
Watching Larry King with George H. Bush and Barbara, saying some great things about Reagan.

The issue was labeling the ministers "p.c." because they didn't mention Jesus Christ.
Sensitivity and graciousness is the essence of Christianity.

The minister that characterized Reagan's presidency as nothing more than simply an "act" was disgraceful.

Reagan Generation .... I like that !!! Yeah, I can't believe I never thought of it before, and it's so fitting, if not for all X-ers (and I think it is ) then for the segment of us who came of age during his presidency. When he was inaugurated I was 10, when he left office I was 18 and had already known for years I was going to join the Air Force. I ended up in SAC and got to watch some friends tow bombers off the alert pad at my SAC base in '92.
Generation Reagan indeed.

I'm a firm believer that without the applause the media would try to tell us the crowds were mostly gawkers or came to merely witness "history". The applause indicates a deeper bond between the spectators and President and Mrs. Reagan.
I loved it and I think it meant the world to Nancy.
To: oceanview
people spending alot of time viewing - the pace is slower then it was at the Library.
To: oceanview
I saw that, and a very young man at that. He was literally sobbing as he went out... (from what I could see with my blurry screen)
To: hole_n_one
I stitched together a couple of screengrabs to get this...... Oh my!

"Thank the Lord Jesus Christ and President Reagan for helping to give us the free lives we all live now. Thanks to Dutch for giving the left fits, then and now."Amen.
" That's four. Would he like to try for thousands."
Wouldn't surprise me.

I always shake my head in amazement at the pundits (including some here) who consider Richard Cheney a liability to the President's re-election campaign. It's a bizarre perception. Maybe that is because they fear that if given the chance he would be a GREAT president!
