Please thank your father for his service to our country. It is because of selfless miltary service past and present that we are allowed to enjoy all of our freedoms.

My parents were married 54 years when we lost my dad. Spouses of a lifetime suffer greatly when the other is hurting. I pray for your mom's strength as she stands by her husband and I pray for your dad's recovery.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks for the years You have granted sock's beloved father, and we pray that You will grant him and his wife continued years together. Strengthen him as he undergoes surgery and recovery ... protect especially his weakened lungs and heart. Surround him with people who will encourage him to the limits of his abilities, that he would return home in strength and in confidence. Sustain his family during these times of stress, that they "be anxious for nothing." In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
