Just heard on John and Ken that the Bd of Supes voted (3:2) YES to the ACLU-acceptable 'compromise' -- which consists of: a 'Mission' without a cross (aka Taco Bell), Native American (stick) figures ... and the Lord only knows what else. They played a clip of Yvonne B.B. saying, "We don't have to stoop to dealing with THESE people (the pastors, rabbis, fine citizens of Los Angeles who were in the hearing room)." Which is WAY too much like 'Let them eat cake' for my liking. And Zev Y compared it to de-Segregation in the 1960s: "The citizens would not have voted to end segregation, either. I am willing to lose my job over this affront to the very Constitution yadayada." I say -- let the people vote on this. And let's make it a two-fer: One ballot, two questions: 1) Shall we keep the Seal? 2) Shall we DUMP the Three Stooges?
These 'representatives of the people' are so brazenly arrogant.
I assume each of these supv's were voted in with majority votes in their districts. I hope the people who elected them aren't bitching.
I say we put a concerted effort together to vote these three buffoons out of office at the next election. I don't know if there is a recall provision for county supervisors, but if there is, we should recall those lefties.

ok, i was the lone guy way back when saying that its only fair that the muslims get to play their call to prayer in that town if the church bells are allowed to ring. i was pretty much a lone voice.
this case is different, though. theres no need to remove this symbol, its part of the history and its not denying anyone anything. its not really affecting anyone else or denying them the right ot practice whatever crazy religion they want. stupid.

Thomas Moore Center are a bunch of clowns with briefcases. Just about every time they get involved with conservative litigation, they demonstrate they all lack the balls to do the job right.
Sad but predictable. The ACLU has become the Gestapo. None dare fail to meet its every demand.
