I certainly don't like Kerry, but I think it's appropriate that he visited the ceremony.

But that doesn't excuse his shameless grandstanding. Of course, he's not going to wait in line like everyone else, but bringing his own cameraman?

Unless you were there - I don't think you don't know what was appropriate. This was treated as sacred, hallowed ground by mourners who RESPECTED the man and came to SHARE THOSE RESPECTS - Kerry did none & neither.

TB, he said in Nov 2003 that Reagan stuck it to the working class and crushed the hopes and dreams of many Americans, he has repeatedly said in this campaign that he opposed Reagan's "illegal war" in Central America.

Kerry had no business going there. PERIOD!!!

In approx 30 hours President Reagan will lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda, that is just downstairs from where Kerry has had an office for 18 or 20 years. There will be an official ceremony for members of Congress, members of Congress are invited to the state funeral and Kerry has already announced he will be attending. But you think that somehow Kerry elbowing his way to the front of the line is appropriate behavior while people who actually cared about President Reagan, supported him, voted for him must stand in the sun for hours just to pay their humble respects ??????? Oh, LordyGiveMeStrength. That is exactly how people like the Clintons and Kerry get elected.

It wasn't appropriate at all for Kerry to visit.
He opposed everything Reagan stood for...same goes for Clinton.
They had nothing but bad things to say about the man while he lived & now they want to profi off his death. Disgusting.
