Try to pay attention:
Kerry is invited to the service on Friday with all the OTHER senators.
He's doing this as a photo op for his CAMPAIGN.
It could have been worse. I haven't seen any reports of him spitting during the appearance. He apparently has more self-control than I thought.
Dumbass, did I SAY it was a good idea for Kerry to do what he did? No.
Obviously if he was able to do what he did he had permission at least from someone in charge who had the authority to let him.
It probably irritated them as much as it does us to give Kerry such a courtesy, but it showed a hell of a lot of CLASS.
