Maybe people should listen to the recording before making a judgment of Keillor. He had kind words for Reagan and there were only two lone cheers in an otherwise respectfully quite audience.

Agreed to all of you on the thread that actually listened. There was ONE cat caller, Keillor was respectful and polite about the president as he always is about everybody, and just continued without stopping for a heckler. To slap down the one jerk in the audience would have been both out of character and and unnecessary interruption to the rest of the crowd.

This title is a lie. A gross misrepresentation of what happened. Some have been going out of their way to find offense at what they believe to be the slightest slight this week.... which I think is a waste of good energy.

It's an emotional week.

I think we are all tired and burned out.

GK has all the respect and politeness of Eddie Haskell.

On the surface, he's saying the right words with the proper tone, but always with a hint of condescension when speaking of the Republicans. The libs love it because they are in on the 'inside' joke.

I listen to him when doing yard/garage work and enjoy the show and especially the music and skits.

But, he's still another man of the people, who lives in an upper west side NYC apartment. (Maybe he's Michael Moore's good twin?)

Must admit that I haven't been able to load the program in question, to listen. Thanks for your telling of it. Sounds like the 'good GK' was the gracious man he has been to most guests he brings on the air. Is there a chance he's mellowing with age? Well, I wouldn't go that far. The title is accurate as far as it goes. The problem is, it's too easy for a reader -- especially one who's looking for a fight -- to infer from the title that Keillor wanted the cheer(s) that he received.

Keillor is a die hard socialist.. maybe worse. Do a search on Free republic or even Google there are other items on Keillor.. Leftists are veritable traitors even the dumbest ones, they are enablers. Treason and/or sedition is not funny or even even cute. Compassionate conservatism is a mirage only seen by neocons or other ex-democrats. Keillor is an enemy of america. Not THE enemy but An enemy.
